Time Cut (2024) Review

movie

A time-loop horror with a confusing twist.

Time Cut killer

Netflix's Time Cut had the potential to offer something unique to horror fans, combining time-loop elements with a horror setting. While the concept had promise, the film unfortunately fails to deliver a satisfying experience. The pacing drags in parts, and what should have been suspenseful moments often feel underwhelming. Characters lack depth, making it hard to invest in their fate or motivations.

The movie also struggles with tonal consistency, shifting between horror and sci-fi elements without fully committing to either, leaving viewers caught in a middle ground that fails to build real tension or excitement. And as the plot finally reaches its peak, the ending veers off into confusing territory. Rather than adding intrigue, it felt abrupt and out of sync with the rest of the story, leaving many questions unanswered without the satisfaction of a real payoff.

For horror fans who enjoy psychological twists and inventive storytelling, Time Cut might seem intriguing at first glance. However, the uneven execution and lack of clear direction may disappoint.

It’s a watchable film for those curious about Netflix’s latest horror experiment, but for viewers seeking thrills, this one may feel like a missed opportunity.
