Exciting news for horror fans: Writer-director Damien Leone has confirmed that the script for 'Terrifier 4' is currently in development. In a recent Instagram post, Leone revealed that this installment will delve into the much-anticipated backstory of Art the Clown, providing insights into the origins of the franchise's notorious antagonist.
Leone shared on Instagram, "The script for Terrifier 4 is underway and it is shaping up to be the most epic, horrifying, thrilling, emotional, and satisfying conclusion to this franchise."
Art the Clown first appeared in Leone's 2008 short film 'The 9th Circle' and gained prominence in 'All Hallow's Eve' (2013). He became the central figure in the 'Terrifier' series, which began in 2016. The latest installment, 'Terrifier 3', premiered in October and achieved significant box office success, grossing nearly $90 million.
While Leone has hinted at having a definitive conclusion in mind for Art's story, he also suggested the possibility of extending the narrative beyond 'Terrifier 4', depending on the story's demands. As of now, there is no official release date for 'Terrifier 4'.
